The annual Pride Month is celebrated in June as part of the gay rights movement. People in many countries fly the rainbow flag to celebrate their identity through the rich colors, to express affirmation of self and the hope that such events will bring equality and more attention to the lgbtq community.

The six-color rainbow is now widely used in a variety of merchandise, such as jewelry and clothing, especially in Pride Month parades, where people wear clothing with elements of the six-color rainbow to show who they are.
