Product Info & Care

Each piece of jewelry from Jewbow carries a deeper meaning of love, courage and self-confidence and is meant to empower the wearer to show their colors and enjoy their life.

Our jewelry is designed in Hong Kong and is available in sterling silver, 18CT gold vermeil, 18CT gold plated, 14CT gold plated and etc. Although these jewelries are durable, they cannot do without your careful handling. Good maintenance can greatly extend the life of the jewelry.

18CT GOLD VERMEIL

Vermeil, pronounced ver-may, is a high-quality method of gold plating. To be classified as Gold Vermeil, the jewelry must have a sterling silver base and the gold must be at least 2.5 microns thick. All of Jewbow's gold vermeil pieces are stamped with the 925 hallmarks to indicate that the sterling silver is 92.5% pure.

18CT GOLD PLATED

Some of Jewbow's jewelry is made with 18ct gold-plated brass, as 925 silver has a soft texture and is not suitable for some jewelry. Also, 18ct gold plated brass metal jewelry is more affordable, allowing us to keep our product prices reasonable.

STERLING SILVER

Most of Jewbow's sterling silver jewelry is plated with rhodium, which gives the jewelry an extremely strong protective layer against tarnishing, allowing the jewelry to maintain its high quality and durability. Jewbow's sterling silver jewelry is stamped with the 925 hallmark, which indicates that the silver is at least 92.5% pure.

FRESHWATER PEARL

Some of Jewbow's jewelry is embellished with freshwater pearls. Freshwater pearls have a delicate and soft texture and need to be well cared for. In order to maintain the beauty of freshwater pearls over time, they should be kept away from chemicals, moisture, body acids, and so on.

To stay away from chemicals

Chemicals will erode jewelry, so try to avoid direct contact with perfume, cosmetics, cleaning supplies, shower gels, etc.

To wipe it occasionally

Use a soft brush or silver polishing cloth to wipe it gently to keep the jewelry bright.

To store it properly when not wearing

Prolonged exposure will accelerate surface oxidation. When not wearing, you can store your jewelry separately in a cloth bag or jewelry box.

To avoid scratching

Avoid bumping the jewelry, which can easily cause scratches to the coating. The chain should be put away flat to avoid tangling. Try not to wear jewelry when sleeping or exercising.

To keep it dry

Try to avoid wearing jewelry when bathing, swimming, entering the spa or washing hands.

To wear it regularly

For sterling silver jewelry, the best way to care for it is to wear it every day, as human body oils can produce a natural, warm luster.
